[00:00:01] Speaker A: Hello. You guys, stop. Is it mom o' clock yet? I'm going crazy. [00:00:08] Speaker B: Heck, yeah. It's Mama Clock somewhere. [00:00:15] Speaker C: Okay, we're back. Welcome back to Mama Clock. [00:00:18] Speaker A: I love fall. [00:00:19] Speaker C: You look. You actually look so good in gray. [00:00:21] Speaker A: I do. [00:00:22] Speaker C: I'm not gonna lie. You look really [00:00:24] Speaker A: good in gray. Full on, grow, fit. [00:00:26] Speaker C: You look very good in gray. Like a comfy gray outfit. [00:00:29] Speaker A: Thanks. [00:00:30] Speaker C: You really do. All [00:00:30] Speaker A: right. It's my new personality. I'll never take it off. And I'm not showering until next week. [00:00:35] Speaker C: You're gonna wear that to brunch on Sunday. I love that. [00:00:37] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Brunch on Sunday. We have a fun weekend ahead of us. [00:00:42] Speaker C: Speaking of, let's talk about. [00:00:45] Speaker A: Wait. Speaking of, I have to tell you a funny story. This happened to me a couple days ago. I'm in the car with all of my kids, okay. And we're driving, and they're screaming, they're requesting songs. I'm trying to. I have my Spotify hooked up. So I'm trying to put, like, music on. They're screaming, they're dancing, they're singing. I'm jamming out, and all of a sudden, the cop pulls me over. [00:01:11] Speaker C: No. [00:01:12] Speaker A: So the cop pulls me over. I get aside. I'm like, okay, guys. Like, everybody acts completely normal. Like, Mommy's the. Have you [00:01:20] Speaker C: ever been pulled over? All three kids? [00:01:21] Speaker A: No. No. It's the first time. The police officer is just checking to see if we're all okay. And, like, I'm getting, like, nervous. [00:01:26] Speaker C: I mean. Yeah. [00:01:27] Speaker A: Yeah. So he comes up to the window, and he's like. He's like, is everything okay, ma'? Am? I'm like, yeah. Hi, guys. Say hi to the officer. And, like, they're literally, like, quiet. Like, not speaking, like, scared. [00:01:42] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:01:43] Speaker A: And he was like, I. I just want to let you know I've had my lights on for, like, the last two miles, and this is the slowest police chase of my life. Like, [00:01:53] Speaker C: you were just. [00:01:55] Speaker A: I had no idea he was. He was following me for two miles, and I [00:01:58] Speaker C: just. Long time. [00:01:59] Speaker A: A long time. He was, like, down the road, the whole road. He was like. He was. But he made a joke. Like, literally, like, the slow. Like, he thought that I was trying to escape him, but I had no idea he was fine. [00:02:11] Speaker C: Did he really? Then he was like, okay, well, [00:02:13] Speaker A: I was like, I'm so sorry. I'm so overstimulated in here. They were scre. I. I just have to, like, pay more attention to my surroundings. I didn't see the lights, like, I just. I was in my own world. [00:02:23] Speaker C: And [00:02:23] Speaker A: he was like, okay, like, you were a bit of. Like, it was, like, reckless driving. Like, I remember, like, I was passing an iPad back. Like, I probably was, like, swerving. Probably thought I was drunk. And, like, I gave him. I gave him my license, my brother's gold card, and he. And then I made a joke. I was like, I am so sorry. Like, I'm so overstimulated, but I have no excuse. I need to pay more attention. Like, I cannot believe you were chasing me. [00:02:48] Speaker C: Yeah, [00:02:49] Speaker A: I was running from him. He was laughing. He's like, I get it. And he let me go. But, like, how funny. I had no idea. [00:02:54] Speaker C: If you're showing up with three kids, a cop better let you go. [00:02:58] Speaker A: Let better. [00:02:59] Speaker C: Like, there's no way they're giving you. [00:03:00] Speaker A: I was almost going to be like, okay, guys, like, start. Unless you're, like, drunk [00:03:04] Speaker C: or something. And like, [00:03:06] Speaker A: this is. It was literally. We were going to music class or somewhere. We were going to, like, some. You [00:03:11] Speaker C: go to music class, though? [00:03:12] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:13] Speaker C: You do a lot of things. And don't tell me [00:03:14] Speaker A: I do go to music class. [00:03:16] Speaker C: Wait, where? On [00:03:17] Speaker A: Fridays. We weren't going to music class because I had. I had all three in the car. I only go with Rocco and beef with that. But where were we going? Somewhere on 22. I don't know. But Officer Radcliffe didn't pull me. Didn't give me a ticket. That [00:03:29] Speaker C: was nice of him. [00:03:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:03:30] Speaker C: Thank you so much. But [00:03:31] Speaker A: it was so funny. [00:03:31] Speaker C: That's actually so funny. You didn't tell me [00:03:33] Speaker A: that. I called my brother right after. I was like, thanks, you got me out of jail. He was like, what do you mean? Does [00:03:37] Speaker C: he like, when you use his car? [00:03:38] Speaker A: No, he, like, he doesn't care [00:03:39] Speaker C: because some cops get nasty. [00:03:41] Speaker A: No, it was fine. But my brother was like, what'd you do? And I was like, I just wasn't paying attention. The guy was following me for, like, two miles. He was like, em, that's so bad. That's so bad. And he was cracking up. [00:03:50] Speaker C: I always look at my rear view. [00:03:52] Speaker A: I mean, I do, too, but I guess I don't. You [00:03:54] Speaker C: have three kids. Sometimes you just. And [00:03:55] Speaker A: then also, I was thinking. I [00:03:56] Speaker C: remember driving your kids. [00:03:57] Speaker A: I was thinking for one second, I was like, you know what, Officer? Just, like, take me. Just, like, arrest me. I need a break. I'm taking [00:04:02] Speaker C: my kids here. Wait. Also going back to me taking care of your kids. [00:04:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:04:07] Speaker C: I. It's also scary, not only when you're watching them, like, driving Driving with them. [00:04:12] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Did you make sure they were buckled okay? [00:04:15] Speaker C: Of course. And V was, like, overstimulated by Geo and she was like, I just can't stand this kid anymore. But anyway, we're talking about all four things this episode. Like, are the weekend activities worth it? The jacket battle that you have to have now that it's cold out? [00:04:30] Speaker A: I, I, I think I'll stand down on. Jackets aren't worth it. Like, they [00:04:34] Speaker C: just aren't worth it. [00:04:35] Speaker A: Like, yeah, negative degrees. And, like, it's freezing like, right now. I [00:04:41] Speaker C: think kids saw your kid without a jacket, and he goes, can I take mine off? That's why I ran away from you. [00:04:48] Speaker A: I couldn't do the battle. I had the battle. I had the jacket and I had. You [00:04:52] Speaker C: know what they're doing in class now? Learning how to put the pad on. So now he's kind of wanting to bring it. [00:04:56] Speaker A: That's fun. Yeah, I. And that's why they said no sweatshirts, because they want zip up so they could do the hands in over this. But, yeah, no, the jacket battle is not worth it for me personally, just because I know if Rocco starts off with the tantrum like that for the jacket, it'll just set him off. [00:05:12] Speaker C: Oh, really? It would. Yeah. See, like, my kid gets out of it. [00:05:14] Speaker A: Yeah. No, he's. But [00:05:15] Speaker C: it is the worst battle. [00:05:17] Speaker A: Or what about outfits? Changing outfits. Are you [00:05:20] Speaker C: there yet? Oh, yeah. Picking out off it. Changing outfits, taking it off. If he doesn't put it on himself. It actually takes me 47 minutes to get him dressed. [00:05:27] Speaker A: No, I know, I know. [00:05:29] Speaker C: I don't want to do it. I said to Michael this morning, and I'm not. [00:05:31] Speaker A: Wait, so do you pick out Alpha night before? [00:05:33] Speaker C: Yeah, [00:05:34] Speaker A: but it doesn't matter because he won't wear it. He'll [00:05:35] Speaker C: wear [00:05:35] Speaker A: it. Oh, okay. [00:05:36] Speaker C: But putting it on him. [00:05:37] Speaker A: Okay. [00:05:38] Speaker C: I'm at the stage where he actually wants a different outfit. The pajamas are getting there, but he will not get dressed. Yeah, forget about the hair. I'm not even ever gonna. I'm cutting his head off at this point. I can't believe that my son won't let me do his hair. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I have a girl. Like, I have to do your hair. It's worse because you have to do a girl's hair. [00:05:57] Speaker A: I mean, do you. Because have you seen Vienna? [00:05:59] Speaker C: Well, I know she's, like, never had her hair done in her life, but [00:06:02] Speaker A: no, she fights me so hard. [00:06:04] Speaker C: I mean, it's like, it's I understand. Because I have a son who, like, it doesn't really matter if I do his hair or not. And it drives me. Well, I can't imagine if my daughter's hair looks messy. I don't. I won't. She can't leave the house. [00:06:15] Speaker A: I know you actually. I mean, with everything in motherhood, you have to pick your battles. Because sometimes [00:06:20] Speaker C: the jacket one is really bad, though, so. [00:06:22] Speaker A: Yeah, [00:06:23] Speaker C: it's really bad. [00:06:24] Speaker A: I know. [00:06:25] Speaker C: It's like, I took a video of it yesterday. [00:06:27] Speaker A: I know. [00:06:27] Speaker C: He was screeching. [00:06:28] Speaker A: No, Rocco, too. That's why he. But [00:06:30] Speaker C: why? I've seen Rocco with jackets on. [00:06:32] Speaker A: It's just like a phase. It's a phase. [00:06:36] Speaker C: Sick. He's teething. He's so teething. It's not. That's like, been our thing since they were born. They're teething. [00:06:41] Speaker A: I heard a mom at soccer say that their kid was teething. That's why they were crying, which is so funny. I mean, it could be true. I was, like, laughing because it's like, okay, maybe he is teething. But, like, it's just the excuse to go to. [00:06:56] Speaker C: It is. But I honestly don't say it anymore because, like, he has all [00:06:58] Speaker A: his teeth. But we still say it. [00:06:59] Speaker C: I still say it. Jackets are getting thrown out the window. The jackets. Let's talk about our plans on the weekends in the fall. Worth it. Like, genuinely, like, I do all the things, and I love doing all the things. But, like, [00:07:14] Speaker A: I mean, you asked me what we were doing before a party. She was like, pumpkin farm again before another party that we have. So is a pumpkin farm worth it? [00:07:25] Speaker C: I hate it. I hate it. But I love it at the same time. [00:07:28] Speaker A: I love it. [00:07:29] Speaker C: I love. I [00:07:30] Speaker A: love it. If my husband is cooperative, he's not on his phone. He is engaged, and he is having fun. [00:07:40] Speaker C: We're having fun. I love doing all the things, but the getting there, the getting out of the car. Oh, [00:07:47] Speaker A: my God. [00:07:47] Speaker C: Maybe if he has a little bit of tantrum. They're leaving, like, but the moment. Like, I used to love those things before I had kids. Yeah. It was, like, my favorite thing to do. I love the fall [00:07:56] Speaker A: also. They are. Yeah. Like, I love the fall, and it is their core memories. They are, oh, [00:08:01] Speaker C: my God. [00:08:02] Speaker A: Being made. [00:08:02] Speaker C: I know. Even [00:08:03] Speaker A: if you don't feel it, [00:08:04] Speaker C: like, having to leave, like, getting them out of there. [00:08:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:08:06] Speaker C: They never want to leave. Yeah. Cecilia Gio's age. [00:08:09] Speaker A: You went to a good one. [00:08:10] Speaker C: Yeah, that was a good one. [00:08:11] Speaker A: I feel very overwhelmed with all the fall Things because they keep popping up on my. I know. I don't [00:08:16] Speaker C: want [00:08:16] Speaker A: to ask to. But you went to a great one. Tell the people. [00:08:20] Speaker C: We went to [00:08:21] Speaker A: Ort [00:08:22] Speaker C: Von Fun Farms. V o n Th u n Farms. [00:08:27] Speaker A: And you thought it was comparable to Happy Day. I [00:08:29] Speaker C: liked it better than Happy Day. Happy Days. Like, [00:08:31] Speaker A: I love Happy Day. [00:08:32] Speaker C: Yeah, but it's so big. There's like, not that much to do. Von thon. There's. Why [00:08:37] Speaker A: is it. I [00:08:38] Speaker C: don't know. I. I don't. Maybe it's th. I don't. I don't know. [00:08:41] Speaker A: We're saying thun. [00:08:44] Speaker C: There's something to do every step. [00:08:46] Speaker A: Yeah. No, it looked like a good one. [00:08:47] Speaker C: Yeah. So I [00:08:48] Speaker A: was going to go. I was gonna go, but. Oh, [00:08:51] Speaker C: yeah, you were wasted or something. [00:08:52] Speaker A: No, we. Being hungover is hard. Going to a pumpkin farm. [00:08:58] Speaker C: No, that's why I can't drink. [00:08:59] Speaker A: Wait, do you know what we did instead? We went to the local like, farmer's market and just got pumpkins. And my kids thought it was the pumpkin farm. Yeah. And I remember I. We [00:09:08] Speaker C: didn't even get pumpkins. I left them on the hay rod back. Oh, [00:09:10] Speaker A: you didn't. [00:09:11] Speaker C: That's why when you asked, I didn't [00:09:12] Speaker A: have any. I don't [00:09:14] Speaker C: even want them. [00:09:14] Speaker A: I got want them. The squirrels eat them. If you carve them, if you paint them, they just look shitty and painted. That's [00:09:20] Speaker C: what I have right now. [00:09:20] Speaker A: You have one painted outside your thing. I was like, she's definitely hiding this one. [00:09:24] Speaker C: I can't stand it. [00:09:26] Speaker A: Oh, but it is fun for the kids. [00:09:28] Speaker C: I love it, but I also hate it. I'm like. It used to definitely be. [00:09:31] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:09:32] Speaker C: Fun when you like. You know what I would love to do this year? It's obviously too late if we did the hunt. I used to love the hunt. Like, like that. [00:09:41] Speaker A: But is the hunt still on? [00:09:44] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh, my God. Yeah. Totally. I think the horses [00:09:47] Speaker A: stopped racing. [00:09:48] Speaker C: Yeah. I used to love it. [00:09:48] Speaker A: That was always Joey's birthday weekend. And we would party hard. [00:09:52] Speaker C: The hunt was like my favorite thing to do. So. All my exes that live in Texas, [00:09:56] Speaker A: you were such a hunt girl. Like those girls that are wearing those high boots with the. With the skirt and maybe a flannel shirt, maybe a hat. [00:10:05] Speaker C: That [00:10:05] Speaker A: was you. I was like in a. We [00:10:08] Speaker C: also got drunk. [00:10:09] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:10:12] Speaker C: So I [00:10:13] Speaker A: wanted to be. [00:10:13] Speaker C: So we. We love. We love going to farms with our kids. [00:10:16] Speaker A: Yes. [00:10:16] Speaker C: I love Christmas even more. I can't wait for Christmas. You have no idea. [00:10:20] Speaker A: Can you just slow down and can target And Dollar Tree and all the stores. Slow down. Halloween didn't even happen yet. Let's get through Halloween. Alicia called me yesterday. She's like, m. Don't go to the stores. I'm like, what? She's like, are you ready for. Are you ready for your list? Amazon. Amazon sent the catalog already? The. [00:10:37] Speaker C: How do you get an Amazon catalog? [00:10:38] Speaker A: I don't know, but I get one. And they don't send one for every kid. They only send one per house. And my kids are circling everything they want, which means they're circling book. One book. [00:10:50] Speaker C: Wait, where do you get the Amazon? [00:10:51] Speaker A: I don't know. It got. It came in the mail. But, like, I'm not ready for Christmas, so chill out. [00:10:55] Speaker C: Look. Look into that. [00:10:57] Speaker A: But prime day was like. I know. Have you ordered a Christmas present yet? Like for g. [00:11:02] Speaker C: No. [00:11:02] Speaker A: Okay, [00:11:03] Speaker C: one Christmas present. [00:11:04] Speaker A: Look, any like. Oh, no, you're not there yet. [00:11:06] Speaker C: No, no, no, [00:11:06] Speaker A: because I can't. I need to get through. I [00:11:09] Speaker C: didn't even give people my boo baskets yet. [00:11:11] Speaker A: Should we talk about. Oh, that's [00:11:14] Speaker C: not there yet. Okay, let's talk about. We're all talking about all things fall. Because school is fall. The after school version of your kid. [00:11:23] Speaker A: I'd rather be in prison. [00:11:24] Speaker C: No zoo animal. He has more energy than I've ever seen in my entire life. I don't get it. Didn't you get that all out at school? [00:11:30] Speaker A: It is. They bottle up all our. All of their. Do you think [00:11:33] Speaker C: they're, like, nice and cute and fun? [00:11:35] Speaker A: This is my experience. I'm talking about my kids only. And I think parents have similar. But I know my kids are angels in school and they truly are. They're good kids in school, definitely. And when they come home, they're fucking monsters. Yeah, [00:11:47] Speaker C: I know. [00:11:47] Speaker A: But since they are bottled up. My [00:11:49] Speaker C: son's so mean to me. [00:11:50] Speaker A: They are perfect in school and polite and do the right thing and. And. And like, doesn't act out in school. When they come home, they release. [00:12:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:12:00] Speaker A: And they. [00:12:01] Speaker C: Oh, release is not even the statement we should say. [00:12:04] Speaker A: And they just are. Especially my oldest. Like, he. He [00:12:08] Speaker C: can't sit still, that one. [00:12:09] Speaker A: He can't sit still. And he's just. [00:12:11] Speaker C: Gia's trending there. [00:12:12] Speaker A: Oh, my God. Boys are hard. Boys are rough. [00:12:16] Speaker C: Your son really doesn't sit still, but neither does mine. I've counted to 10 seconds and he has never made it to 10 seconds. [00:12:23] Speaker A: Oh, really? [00:12:23] Speaker C: It's so bad. But your son's at the stage where he can leave the house, [00:12:27] Speaker A: right? [00:12:28] Speaker C: Like Geo. Just like he Truly, like, I'm like, I think we have to get him checked. He doesn't sit still for more than 10 seconds. [00:12:33] Speaker A: Yeah, no, you don't have to get him checked. But he's just being a boy. [00:12:36] Speaker C: It's crazy. [00:12:37] Speaker A: It is funny when you think about, like, all the things. Like, we obviously kids grew up with, like, ADHD and autism. All the things. But like, how do you know when your kid is just, like, being a boy and like, not being able to focus? Like, when do [00:12:49] Speaker C: I go? And maybe when the teacher says something to me. [00:12:51] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:12:52] Speaker C: So the other day, the teacher goes to me, [00:12:54] Speaker A: something to say after this. [00:12:55] Speaker C: Gio, miss the. The one that's kind of like sarcastic. I love her. She's like, gio decided to run around the classroom today screaming, crying that he had to pee instead of telling one of us that he had to pay. I'm like, oh, my God. [00:13:07] Speaker A: Can you picture him doing that at school? Yeah, it's so funny. Like, if a teacher ever told. [00:13:11] Speaker C: The teacher's lying. [00:13:12] Speaker A: Yeah, you're lying. You're lying [00:13:14] Speaker C: about. My [00:13:14] Speaker A: kid would never. [00:13:15] Speaker C: Someone never. [00:13:17] Speaker A: I just had it. [00:13:18] Speaker C: I'm also not that mom. I'd be like, oh, my God. [00:13:20] Speaker A: No, you would just. I [00:13:21] Speaker C: would never be like, my son's not that kid. I'm like, if he did it, he didn't. Why would you lie to me? [00:13:24] Speaker A: Yeah, I, I don't like those parents. Yeah. Like, their kid is gods, [00:13:30] Speaker C: not God sent. [00:13:32] Speaker A: But I was just thinking about something about school. Oh, did [00:13:37] Speaker C: anyone teacher say anything to you? Oh, my God. Did your kid have homework? We [00:13:40] Speaker A: have entered homework. Joey's in first grade. It's not even so much the homework, it's the, the reading. So Joey. I don't [00:13:49] Speaker C: believe in homework. [00:13:49] Speaker A: He can't. I [00:13:50] Speaker C: don't think homework should be a thing. [00:13:51] Speaker A: I. No, I mean, they have one page. Could be. [00:13:55] Speaker C: Why? Why is there homework? They learn all day in school. Why are they coming home and doing that? A [00:13:59] Speaker A: lot of parents feel that way. I. I could see that. It doesn't bother me. I'm just saying, like, I'm saying for me personally, my patience level to sit down and help my son learn how to read and, like, act. Because he can't read yet. He. Is [00:14:15] Speaker C: he supposed to know how to read? [00:14:16] Speaker A: Yeah, like kindergarten, first grade. You should, like, be trending. He can't read. He can't read. He's trying. He's learning. He's trying. And what [00:14:24] Speaker C: do you think it is? [00:14:26] Speaker A: I just think he wasn't taught. Like, I don't Read to him a lot at home. Like, I. Like, I'm. I'm at fault, but. So he's learning, and he will learn. He'll be fine. But me actually sitting down and, like, going, like, sounding out the words and doing the things. I'm. Like, [00:14:42] Speaker C: that. That. Like, [00:14:43] Speaker A: to think that I would have patience for that, but I absolutely don't. And my mom said to me the other day, she was like, emily, you need. Like, because I. I lost my mind. I was like, say the word. Like, [00:14:55] Speaker C: I don't understand. What is he trying to say? [00:14:57] Speaker A: Like, any word. Like, he's. He's trying to read like, cat. Like, he's trying to actually learn how to, like, like, sight words. Like, see of the. Yeah. Like, all the words. So. And, like, when you don't know how to. Like, you don't. You don't just, like, wake up and know how to read? Like, you have to learn, [00:15:10] Speaker C: right? [00:15:11] Speaker A: So. So, like, my patience for that is very, very, very low. And so my mom was like, em, you. You're. You're like. You're giving this aura of, like, reading is terrible and hard, and, like, So I. So I need to, like, take a step back. So, like, my mom, like, took him, like, and did. Did the reading with him, and I'm gonna work on it and be better. But reading, it's tough. [00:15:34] Speaker C: I mean, [00:15:35] Speaker A: it's [00:15:35] Speaker C: like, almost as if, like, I'm comparing it to, like, us, like, reading off, like, in front of a classroom. Like, when we had. Remember the teacher used to call on you. You would have to be part of the textbook. [00:15:44] Speaker A: I remember. Actually, I think I [00:15:46] Speaker C: would have to practice. [00:15:46] Speaker A: My anxiety goes back to, like, me [00:15:48] Speaker C: too. [00:15:49] Speaker A: I would count the paragraphs [00:15:51] Speaker C: and [00:15:51] Speaker A: know which one that when I was coming up. You would do that. I would totally do that. And I'd practice. I'd be like, okay, do I know every word in this paragraph? And then I remember I'm not a good [00:15:59] Speaker C: person. I don't pronounce things. No. [00:16:01] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't pronounce things well. I remember if I didn't know a word in the paragraph, I would, like, cough. Like, I'd be like, oh, sorry, I lost my chain of thought. And then, like, hopefully she would say, like, contagious. [00:16:12] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That is so true. [00:16:16] Speaker A: I remember. And I remember having that feeling. Oh, [00:16:19] Speaker C: yeah. [00:16:19] Speaker A: Oh, my God. People are gonna think that I don't think I can't read. And that [00:16:22] Speaker C: was, like, fifth grade. [00:16:23] Speaker A: And then my husband told me, and, like, I was always, like, reading and writing are My thing, like, I can do that and math is not. But my husband was, like, literally in resources. Didn't know how to read and could do math. Like, great. Always good at math. And my son is trending in the [00:16:39] Speaker C: his direction. [00:16:40] Speaker A: He's good at [00:16:40] Speaker C: math, he's good at numbers. [00:16:41] Speaker A: He's great at numbers. Can't read. So [00:16:44] Speaker C: here we go. Here we are. I'm not ready to do homework. I hope it's, like, eliminated by then. I hope it does not exist by the time my son [00:16:51] Speaker A: gets to that age. I framed one homework that he got. Like, I got the problem wrong. I didn't. This is first grade math, okay? The way the wording was was tricky. Just the way it was worded. I can't pull it up. Oh, it's [00:17:03] Speaker C: one of those, like, math problems that are, like. It [00:17:04] Speaker A: was a word math problem and I got the wrong answer and he got. Joey got the right answer, and I put it on the fridge because I was like, fuck. Like, you're smarter than. Are you smarter than. And he is [00:17:14] Speaker C: smarter than you. Absolutely. [00:17:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:17] Speaker C: Okay. [00:17:18] Speaker A: And also, the hard thing about when they do homework is they want to come home and, like, relax. And, like, [00:17:23] Speaker C: my homework should not. I [00:17:25] Speaker A: want him to do the homework the second he gets home so then he can go outside and play with his friends. So [00:17:29] Speaker C: I did the opposite. I let him go out and play. And then. [00:17:31] Speaker A: I know. I. I texted you. I was like, did he do his homework? Like, [00:17:34] Speaker C: I was. You didn't tell me a part of the rules wasn't do homework [00:17:36] Speaker A: first. Auntie's there. You're not gonna follow all the rules. No. You took them to McDonald's. I [00:17:40] Speaker C: literally took them to McDonald's. Okay. [00:17:45] Speaker A: Which is so funny. When I was at the hospital with the kids and I said that maybe you were coming to pick them up. When I was trying to figure out who was coming. V was so mad when I said that actually, you're not coming. Because she thought. She was like, maybe auntie will get us McDonald's and we're going to see Gio. [00:18:00] Speaker C: Aw. He. She loves Gio. [00:18:02] Speaker A: She does. [00:18:02] Speaker C: My baby, [00:18:03] Speaker A: she's. They saw each other at school the other day. My teacher told me that Vienna went up, gave him a hug, and [00:18:09] Speaker C: did he hug [00:18:09] Speaker A: back. Gio, like, looked at her and was like, [00:18:13] Speaker C: does my kid, like, not remember people? I think he has a brain problem. [00:18:16] Speaker A: No, I think it was like, you know when it's like, out of like. [00:18:18] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Like, why are you at my school? Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally. But V, no Understands that Gio goes [00:18:22] Speaker A: to school. [00:18:23] Speaker C: Okay. That makes me feel better. I don't have to go to a doctor for my son. This is like. I know I always ask you this. Staying home sounds better than having plans. You rather have a plan? Actually, I think I rather have a plan. [00:18:36] Speaker A: It switches, right? [00:18:37] Speaker C: Yeah, it does switch. [00:18:38] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:18:40] Speaker C: Who's. I mean, it's turned into our kids weekend anyway. It's. Fall is no longer our weekend. You know [00:18:44] Speaker A: what is a game changer about going out is once at least one kid could buckle themselves. [00:18:49] Speaker C: Yeah. That's [00:18:49] Speaker A: like. So Vienna can almost buckle herself. She [00:18:51] Speaker C: can't do the red part, right? [00:18:52] Speaker A: She can't do the red part. She can do the top. Joey can fully buckle himself. [00:18:55] Speaker C: Gio can do the top. [00:18:56] Speaker A: He can? Yeah. [00:18:57] Speaker C: And unbuckle it. [00:18:58] Speaker A: Yeah, but not the. No, [00:19:00] Speaker C: not the [00:19:00] Speaker A: red. So, like, once I can totally do the whole thing. It's like, it makes getting in. Like. I remember when I. When they were a three under three, I had. I had like the carry on one. I had to get that in. Then I had to do first. I. I like, can't even remember. I don't even know. I have no tricks for that. And like, it was. It was like just the thought of, like, getting them into the car was the hardest thing. So, like, even to do that, like, just that's [00:19:23] Speaker C: why. That's why I still don't like leaving the house. Gio's a nightmare in a sense. [00:19:26] Speaker A: Right? Yeah. So, like, when. When that becomes easier, like, leaving the house becomes easier. [00:19:30] Speaker C: Right. I want to end, though. Like, I always think about this because I'm so big on, like, feeling cozy and warm with, like, kids. Like, it's like almost like when you watch a cartoon, you feel like all the feels. [00:19:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:19:40] Speaker C: Like, what is like the most coziest thing about fall for you? Like, with your kids? [00:19:45] Speaker A: I wish that they liked like, hot apple cider and like, cozying up like that, but I don't think they do. But, like, I really like. Well, we. What we did, actually did. We did this the other day. This is a mom hack. If you want to buy some time with your kids, give them a Ziploc bag, go outside, tell them to pick the prettiest leaves that they have. And they. My kids had a field day with it. They picked all these different color leaves. We went back inside. I got like bigger poster construction paper, and we just glued like glue sticks, glued it all over. We're doing [00:20:14] Speaker C: that in school. Right. [00:20:15] Speaker A: Made a fun collage. Yeah. And. But they had so much Fun with it. And then we. [00:20:21] Speaker C: Speaking of, I could tell Gianna you just reminded me [00:20:25] Speaker A: what to get the blue bag. [00:20:28] Speaker C: I'm in the middle of recording and I just had a heart attack because it's Thursday. And on top of everything I told you to grab for him, you also have to grab his blue bag. [00:20:36] Speaker A: They're gonna give it to her. [00:20:37] Speaker C: I know. It's hanging. It's his project bag that he does all week and you have to take it home. It has all his projects in it. And I forgot that it was Thursday, so you have to grab that also. Okay, bye. Okay. [00:20:49] Speaker A: Yeah. I love seeing all their projects. [00:20:51] Speaker C: I love it. I put it all in my refrigerator. [00:20:53] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:20:53] Speaker C: And then he rips them down. [00:20:54] Speaker A: Rocco's been starting to like, actually tell me what happens in the day. Like, he'll. He'll tell me like a new song he learned. [00:21:00] Speaker C: They sing the songs every time Jew comes home. He'll say goodbye. Yeah, the hello song. [00:21:05] Speaker A: Goodbye song. And they learned some like, color, some shape song that Rocco keeps singing. [00:21:11] Speaker C: I love that. So you didn't answer my question. Oh, [00:21:14] Speaker A: what's cozy? Yeah. I don't know. I feel like just like a nice fall day. Like I honestly like being outside. Like. [00:21:21] Speaker C: Yeah. Like, I think going to a farm with your family, like in just your family is like the coziest. Yeah. And like coming home and like, you know what was cozy Saturday? Last Saturday we went to the farm with the family. Then we came home. Michael bought cold cuts. Yeah. We made the kick ass, like homemade cold cut sandwich. [00:21:39] Speaker A: Will Geo eat that? [00:21:41] Speaker C: No. And we sat on the couch and we just like watched a movie [00:21:44] Speaker A: for lunch. [00:21:45] Speaker C: It was so cozy. That is my ideal Saturday. [00:21:49] Speaker A: That, that's a good idea. [00:21:49] Speaker C: That makes me feel like warm and fuzzy inside. [00:21:51] Speaker A: Yeah. I. I like being outside. I do like a good nature walk with the leaves, but I also nature [00:21:58] Speaker C: walk with the leaves, but [00:21:59] Speaker A: also painting pumpkins. Like, we went and we did it with our cousins. You were supposed to come, but you didn't come. Did [00:22:05] Speaker C: not come. That was the day we had a cold coat sandwich. [00:22:07] Speaker A: Yeah. That was like cozy. Like everyone was just like. We set garbage bags outside. Everyone painted the pumpkins and it was fun. [00:22:14] Speaker C: Yeah. Being with your family is just cozy and warm. [00:22:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:17] Speaker C: I would love to know what everyone's doing this fall. Some people like, I. I stress puts putting so much into the calendar in October on top of having so much shit already. [00:22:26] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:27] Speaker C: And I just love the fall. I love to make memories. Like, I really, really do. I don't. I seriously despite what people think, I don't do anything for the aesthetic or the video. [00:22:38] Speaker A: Because you want. I [00:22:40] Speaker C: genuinely love feeling warm and cozy doing all those things. [00:22:43] Speaker A: Yeah, [00:22:43] Speaker C: and I hope you do, too. Happy fall. This might air in December, so I don't really know. [00:22:47] Speaker A: No, it's airing. And fall. Happy fall. We [00:22:49] Speaker C: love you, Mom. Clocks out.
