[00:00:01] Speaker A: Hello.
[00:00:02] Speaker B: You guys, stop.
Is it mom o' clock yet? I'm going crazy. Heck, yeah.
[00:00:08] Speaker C: It's mom o' clock somewhere.
[00:00:15] Speaker A: So let's do a little bit of, like, rapid fire.
[00:00:17] Speaker C: Okay. We're bad at. We're gonna be horrible at rapid fire.
[00:00:19] Speaker A: Horrible. But it's okay.
[00:00:20] Speaker C: But we're gonna do it in terms
[00:00:22] Speaker A: of the grocery store. So the first one is most overrated grocery item.
You know, it can be rapid, but it could be slow.
[00:00:29] Speaker C: I know. What's overrated?
I don't know. Do I have an overrated grocery item? I would say if you had overrated gadget, I'd say an air fryer's going down in this episode. I don't know if I have one. Overrated grocery item.
What's yours?
Give me an idea.
[00:00:45] Speaker A: Most overrated grocery item.
[00:00:46] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:00:47] Speaker C: I'd say underrated is a rotisserie chicken. Can I. Can I switch the question?
I feel like underrated is, like, you don't have anything to do tonight. You just take the meat off of that. I love the question.
[00:00:57] Speaker A: Most underrated.
[00:00:57] Speaker C: Underrated.
[00:00:58] Speaker A: That's fair. Most. The next question was most underrated.
[00:01:01] Speaker C: Oh, all right.
[00:01:02] Speaker B: Frozen meal. You'll actually recommend to somebody like, a frozen.
[00:01:05] Speaker C: Like, a frozen dinner?
[00:01:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:01:09] Speaker C: It's gonna be the Trader Joe's pot stickers.
[00:01:11] Speaker A: Oh, I've heard.
[00:01:12] Speaker C: And I side those because you can. You can. They. They cook so quick, and my kids will eat the inside of them. They won't eat the outside.
[00:01:18] Speaker A: The next question, one Trader Joe's item. Everyone needs.
[00:01:20] Speaker C: I'm sorry, I'm really jumping across.
You like our. I like the pots. I like the pot stickers. And then you could just add, like, some rice or a little salad next to it. I, I, Maybe it's a girl dinner, too. Like, I feel like I just, like, pop those in the, in the microwave.
[00:01:32] Speaker B: Do you feel that if your husband isn't home.
[00:01:33] Speaker C: Oh, I love a girl dinner.
[00:01:34] Speaker B: And you're. But, like, what's your go to girl dinner?
[00:01:37] Speaker C: Something from frozen. From Trader Joe's.
[00:01:39] Speaker B: Like, mine is literally like cereal.
[00:01:40] Speaker C: Like, I, I love cereal.
[00:01:42] Speaker B: I love cereal, too.
[00:01:43] Speaker C: Peanut butter and jelly.
[00:01:44] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:01:44] Speaker C: I love a peanut butter and jelly. You don't like.
[00:01:45] Speaker B: If it's just. You do not feel like you have to do, like, the whole, like, me thing or you want that.
[00:01:50] Speaker A: She likes to cook.
[00:01:51] Speaker C: I like to cook. But I mean, I feel like we all eat girl dinner the majority of the day. Because, like, I mean, like, if I'm working and I'm taking care of the kids. Like, I walked down with a little, like, grazing board for dinner. I love.
[00:02:01] Speaker B: I saw this. I saw this feel where it's like this mom getting the me out of the kitchen, and she's like, why the fuck do I have to feed my family when I could just run on coffee?
[00:02:10] Speaker A: Like, yeah, I'm okay.
[00:02:12] Speaker C: I could be fine. I could be fine.
[00:02:14] Speaker A: Yeah.
Okay. Costco. Must buy.
[00:02:18] Speaker C: Oh, Costco. I love Costco. Do you guys. You guys Costco girlies?
[00:02:21] Speaker A: Like, not really.
[00:02:22] Speaker B: Maybe for, like, I'm a BJ girl,
[00:02:24] Speaker C: So I love BJ's. I love BJ's. I find the BJ's has a little bit more of, like, the brands that you like.
[00:02:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:30] Speaker C: Then Costco's just kind of has their own brands. Like, I get, like, I love their own brands. I love their. Their organic chicken wings are like, my. You said you're a. You like to make chicken wings. Love chicken wings. I love their organic chicken wings. They're juicy. They're.
[00:02:40] Speaker B: They're.
[00:02:40] Speaker A: My husband doesn't like the Costco where we live, so I think that's big.
[00:02:43] Speaker C: You got to have a good Costco.
[00:02:44] Speaker A: Got to have a good Costco.
[00:02:44] Speaker B: Are you like Costco? Like, diapers, Kirkland, all that? Yeah, we totally wear it.
[00:02:48] Speaker A: You're a Kirkland family.
[00:02:49] Speaker C: Jamie. My husband. My husband's 40th birthday party was literally Costco themed. I literally bought the Etsy K. I was like, my husband is a die Hard. Like, if he could change his last name to Kirkland, like, he would fully change his last name to Kirkland. Like, he loves Costco.
That's also why he has more patience for, like, taking the kids to Costco because he, like, the.
[00:03:06] Speaker B: He comes home, die Hard Costco.
[00:03:07] Speaker C: Like, literally, I'm like, we didn't need another big screen tv. Like, we didn't need the kids dragon float. Like, he, like, I'm just like, go, go ahead, Go ahead.
[00:03:14] Speaker A: But I kind of love that.
[00:03:15] Speaker C: So we. We, like. That's why I think we're, like, big. My husband. I like Costco. My husband loves Costco. Like, so, like, it's like, wait, that's so epic. We have to show you a picture of his 40th birthday party.
[00:03:24] Speaker A: No, you have to show me.
[00:03:25] Speaker C: It was very fun.
[00:03:26] Speaker A: That is hilarious.
[00:03:27] Speaker C: We had a good time.
[00:03:27] Speaker A: What else do we got here? Best kids snack.
[00:03:29] Speaker C: Best kids first.
[00:03:30] Speaker A: Best mom snacks. I feel like this would be a
[00:03:32] Speaker C: very good opportunity for like, a sponsored.
I got a lot of kids snacks in the mail.
Can I say I. It's not a snack. But if we're talking about box macaroni and cheese, which my family does enjoy. I'm obsessed with the Goodles Googles. I don't know how you say it. It's the. It's like the protein macaroni and it's got the really cute. They've got a whole food. They sell it at Costco. They have it at Aldi. I'm actually, actually I should. I've retracted my grocery store thing. I love Aldi. Do you guys use Aldi?
[00:03:57] Speaker B: No, I don't. Oh, we have them close by.
[00:03:59] Speaker C: It's a lot. I get It's. I mean, I don't know how quickly your kids eat organic produce. Like my kids could strawberries. My strawberry budget. I'm like, I'm not sure you're going to college. This is how much strawberries.
[00:04:10] Speaker A: So many strawberries.
[00:04:11] Speaker C: Aldi. Like, you Never pay more than 3.50 for a little container of organic strawberries at Aldi. So I do a lot of literally 17.99.
[00:04:18] Speaker B: Or sprouts.
[00:04:19] Speaker A: Or sprouts.
[00:04:19] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, no, we don't have sprouts. But I do.
[00:04:21] Speaker A: They just open one.
[00:04:22] Speaker C: Very poor. If your shop. If you're buying all of your.
All of your berries and sprouts.
I do a lot of stuff at Aldi.
[00:04:27] Speaker A: They have.
[00:04:27] Speaker C: They have good old.
I'm saying this wrong. I wish Googles would sponsor. And now I'm saying it wrong. We'll say with Goodles. That's like my kids. Like, I'm feeling good about what they're eating.
It's good and I like it too.
[00:04:39] Speaker A: What about mom's snack? What's your favorite snack?
[00:04:41] Speaker C: I'm going to say salami.
[00:04:42] Speaker A: I kind of love that.
[00:04:43] Speaker C: Like, packaged just like always, like dipping into, like salami. I always have salami.
My LLC used to be called salami and sharks because I used to carve the watermelon into sharks and sell those. And I do grazing tables. That's another thing that I do.
[00:04:55] Speaker A: Can I have a watermelon? Like a shark? Would you make it for me?
[00:04:57] Speaker C: Course. I'd love to make it one for you.
[00:04:58] Speaker B: I. I need one for the next party.
[00:05:00] Speaker C: I'd love to make one for you, but I also.
[00:05:01] Speaker A: Your son's birthday tomorrow.
[00:05:02] Speaker B: Can you do it tonight?
[00:05:04] Speaker C: I'm sorry. I usually my husband's always like, you have to learn to say no. And for my clients, I like, die. For my clients, I do grazing tables. So there's always slammy on your grazing
[00:05:12] Speaker B: tables look so good.
[00:05:13] Speaker C: I Just did my biggest one I did for a party for 350 people.
[00:05:16] Speaker A: I'm sorry.
[00:05:16] Speaker C: It was so much fun. I had my friend come help me.
[00:05:19] Speaker B: That is just one friend.
[00:05:20] Speaker C: Three.
[00:05:20] Speaker A: Just one friend.
[00:05:21] Speaker C: We knocked it out. It's.
[00:05:22] Speaker B: Honestly, it's just like, it's.
[00:05:25] Speaker C: See, people always ask me, like, how long things take me and it's like, well, like, when do you start the. When you start the clock. Is it conception to like, like, you know, when we're like book when. When we're. When we're booking the job. To like how. What you guys want to. Then the shop to. Then the different. Like to buy everything to. You got to buy it all you got. And then like. And then to the actual, like make
[00:05:45] Speaker A: food for parties too.
[00:05:46] Speaker C: Yeah, I used to do a lot more catering. I used to do meal prep for people. I just feel like I like, don't have the time for this.
[00:05:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:51] Speaker C: Anymore.
You know, I'm actually, I'm like, I'm really excited about fall because, like, my daughter's gonna be in school a little bit more. My son's going into first grade and like, I'll have a little bit more time to like, really like, if I had like a full time nanny, my God, what we could accomplish. Yeah. But I like spending the time with my kids.
[00:06:06] Speaker A: Although, what's the food trend that like, needs to disappear in your eyes?
[00:06:10] Speaker C: What's the food trend that needs to disappear?
[00:06:13] Speaker A: Oh, I feel like there's so many
[00:06:14] Speaker C: of them food trends
[00:06:18] Speaker A: again.
[00:06:18] Speaker C: I'm like that annoying girl that's like, if it's getting you to have fun with food, just keep doing it. Wait, what is.
[00:06:23] Speaker B: What is a good food trend now? I'm blanking on all the food trends.
[00:06:26] Speaker C: Like a food grazing is like, I hope grazing doesn't go away. Yeah, I feel like I hope it never goes away.
[00:06:33] Speaker A: Like, what else is a food trend that I do? I feel.
[00:06:39] Speaker B: Those little crickets, those little like quiche, like cucumber sandwiches. Sandwiches, like. Oh, are those on your. Do you ever make or.
[00:06:48] Speaker C: No, I should.
[00:06:49] Speaker B: I feel like that was trending.
[00:06:50] Speaker C: I feel like I should like, look at my Instagram. Like, what are some of the trends? Yeah, I'll look it up right now. I.
[00:06:54] Speaker B: Is your Instagram mostly like food things? It's our last.
[00:06:58] Speaker C: This was a trend. I don't know if you guys saw this, but I made this. Speaking of watermelon, I made this watermelon cake.
That's a fun trend. I love that look.
[00:07:06] Speaker A: I feel like I don't try things Cottage cheese. Flatbread. Cottage cheese.
[00:07:10] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:07:10] Speaker B: Were you on like the sourdough kick?
[00:07:13] Speaker C: I'm not a baker. So that is something actually like has transferred from Rachel right to me. I'm not a baker.
[00:07:18] Speaker B: That's crazy.
[00:07:19] Speaker A: That makes sense though. A lot of cooks are not baker.
[00:07:21] Speaker C: I'm not like, I'm not, I'm, I'm very like, let's throw this together. I'm not like, let's weigh this love my friends that are sourdough girls cuz
[00:07:27] Speaker A: they like, you're like sourdough trend.
[00:07:29] Speaker C: I can't.
[00:07:30] Speaker A: Oh that we just said so. I was not listening.
[00:07:32] Speaker C: That got us, that got us listening to her. I will. I'm like, I don't want to say protein if we're going to say like, what's the answer to your question?
[00:07:37] Speaker A: Protein's up and coming.
[00:07:38] Speaker C: I'm just like a little tired of it and everything. Like, do we need protein in potato chips or can we just eat potatoes?
[00:07:43] Speaker A: No, that's what I'm saying. That's a trend.
[00:07:44] Speaker C: Can we get rid of that?
Like I understand the importance of protein. I just had a protein shake on my way here. I get it, I understand. But like, do we like, can we just have pizza crust? Do we have to have cottage cheese pizza?
[00:07:53] Speaker B: What about like, how about those epic trend where people aren't even eating anymore? Don't you? Don't you?
[00:07:58] Speaker C: I do feel for them.
[00:07:59] Speaker A: I do feel for them.
[00:08:00] Speaker C: I love food stomach.
[00:08:01] Speaker A: Same. I mean, I could never do that.
[00:08:02] Speaker C: I'll never be a non eater.
[00:08:04] Speaker A: Like I have the worst stomach on planet Earth and I still eat.
[00:08:07] Speaker C: You have to.
[00:08:08] Speaker A: Have to, you have to. So our next thing is. All right, so Jeanette has 15 to 20 seconds to save dinner with whatever situation you throw at her. Okay, these are the scenarios. It's 5:15, the kids are starving, you forget to defrost another.
I'm sorry, sorry.
[00:08:25] Speaker B: Redo.
[00:08:26] Speaker A: It's 5:15, the kids are starving, you forget to defrost anything. Go.
What do you do?
[00:08:31] Speaker C: I'm gonna probably boil a hot dog.
[00:08:33] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Fair. Oh my God.
[00:08:35] Speaker C: My kids always eat hot dogs too. And honestly.
[00:08:38] Speaker A: Good idea. I like love a boiled hot dog.
[00:08:40] Speaker B: I know.
[00:08:40] Speaker A: My dad used to boil so many hot dogs.
[00:08:43] Speaker B: Would do that with baked beans and I smashed it up sometimes.
[00:08:46] Speaker C: There you go. That sounds delicious. I love baked beans. Yeah, baked beans sounds delicious.
[00:08:49] Speaker B: Like the brown sugar one.
[00:08:50] Speaker C: Yeah. Or like. Or I will throw in the goodles. I'll throw in the cheese or. I mean that's kind of the nugget moment. Right? You're like, I'm just gonna do chicken nuggets.
[00:08:59] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Frozen nugget. Yeah, totally.
[00:09:01] Speaker C: Honestly, pasta butter, peanut butter and jelly. That's kind of my.
[00:09:03] Speaker A: Like, I wish my son likes peanut butter and jelly.
[00:09:05] Speaker C: What about cream cheese and jelly? Oh, try cream cheese and jelly.
[00:09:08] Speaker B: We have to figure out what. We're gonna pack our kids for lunches because.
[00:09:11] Speaker C: Oh, is this new?
[00:09:11] Speaker A: This is.
[00:09:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:12] Speaker C: For you this year.
[00:09:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:09:13] Speaker C: And is it no peanuts in the school?
[00:09:15] Speaker A: Yes and no.
[00:09:16] Speaker B: And no meat, because it's a. It's a. In a temple. The preschool. Yeah.
[00:09:20] Speaker A: No meat.
[00:09:20] Speaker B: So no meat and no nuts.
[00:09:21] Speaker C: Not even a kosher meat?
[00:09:23] Speaker B: No.
[00:09:23] Speaker C: Oh, wow.
[00:09:23] Speaker B: Okay. No meat. I just tore it yesterday.
[00:09:26] Speaker C: This is a challenge.
[00:09:26] Speaker B: I know.
[00:09:27] Speaker C: I feel like you need more than 15 seconds to think about this.
[00:09:29] Speaker A: This is quesadilla.
[00:09:30] Speaker C: A lot of quesadillas. A lot of quesadillas. Quesadillas are also my. It's 5, 15. We do a big quesadilla. Everyone will eat quesadillas.
[00:09:37] Speaker B: And then, like, for us, almond butter is not. You can't do almond butter.
[00:09:41] Speaker C: You might be able to sun butter.
[00:09:42] Speaker B: Nutella.
[00:09:43] Speaker C: My kids don't like sun butter.
[00:09:44] Speaker B: Nutella is not.
[00:09:45] Speaker A: It's.
[00:09:45] Speaker C: Yeah, Hazelnuts.
[00:09:46] Speaker B: Oh, my kids.
[00:09:48] Speaker C: This is hard. I'm not going to school.
[00:09:50] Speaker A: We're not going. It's hard.
[00:09:51] Speaker C: You might need another school or another
[00:09:53] Speaker A: kid, because I don't think my kid will put anything.
[00:09:56] Speaker C: Swap out the kids. Swap out the nursery.
[00:09:58] Speaker A: All right, so wait, you have $20 at Shoprite. Feed your family tonight. What are you doing?
[00:10:01] Speaker B: Ooh.
[00:10:01] Speaker C: Okay. I'm getting a rotisserie chicken. Okay, that's probably like seven or eight dollars.
I'm getting a. I'm getting some.
I'm gonna get some tortillas and some cheese, and then I'm gonna make the kids chicken quesadillas shredded. And then I'll get us some.
[00:10:17] Speaker B: This is me tonight.
[00:10:18] Speaker A: I'll get ideas from her.
[00:10:20] Speaker C: I'll get a bag.
As long as we're not still shitting our pants eating lettuce.
[00:10:23] Speaker A: I mean, can we talk about that or.
[00:10:25] Speaker C: I'll get Little Leaf. Little Leaf is one of my partners. I love Little Leaf. It's hydroponically grown, so you will not shit your pants.
[00:10:30] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:10:30] Speaker C: I don't know if they want shit your pants and the lettuce in the same thing. It is very good for you. It is a safe lettuce to eat in these hard times.
And I'll probably get a box of that and then I'll make. I like. I like to make my own salad dressings. I find that to be, like, really, really easy. What's your favorite salad? And you all have that. I mean, like, if you're like making like an antipasto salad, you just do olive oil, a little bit of Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar, oregano, mix in the oil. And then, like, you can. You have all the ingredients.
[00:10:56] Speaker B: A little.
[00:10:56] Speaker C: A little drop of Dijon brings all together if you want to. If you want it creamy, you do a little scoop of. Of mayo. Okay, so like, I always. So I don't need the 20 to buy that because I already have all my ingredients for that. And then I'll probably make us just like a little chicken salad. The kids will have a little quesadilla.
[00:11:10] Speaker B: And there you have it, folks.
[00:11:11] Speaker C: There's dinner.
[00:11:12] Speaker A: There's dinner.
[00:11:13] Speaker C: It's simple. I know. I feel like you guys want more. For me, I don't.
[00:11:16] Speaker A: I don't want any more.
[00:11:17] Speaker C: I want, like, you know, another. Another thing that less than $15 is probably $5 is. I got this recipe from Rachel. It' cacio e pepe. And it's a. It's. And my. Everyone eats it.
[00:11:27] Speaker B: My kids love it.
[00:11:27] Speaker C: And it's. It's. You toast it in the pan, and it's a one pan pasta dish.
[00:11:31] Speaker A: Love a one pan.
[00:11:32] Speaker C: And you toast it so it gets that, like, really, like, fragrant, nutty flavor out of the pasta. And then you dump in the water, you dump in the grated parm. You do a ton of black pepper. And that is a meal everybody in my family is happy with.
[00:11:43] Speaker A: Gio would love that. It's so good.
[00:11:45] Speaker C: It comes together in 30.
[00:11:46] Speaker B: Also, I feel like pastina is underrated now. Like my kiss now or just pastina?
[00:11:51] Speaker A: It's a messy.
[00:11:51] Speaker C: You know, I feel.
I feel like a very. I feel like I've failed in my Italian American journey of motherhood.
[00:11:57] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:58] Speaker C: I haven't really given my kids much pastina.
[00:11:59] Speaker B: I think you need to start.
[00:12:00] Speaker A: You do pastina? I do pasta.
[00:12:02] Speaker C: I mean, I love pasta, but, like, I don't.
[00:12:04] Speaker A: Do you do an egg in it?
[00:12:05] Speaker C: I don't do an egg.
[00:12:06] Speaker A: I do an egg in it with protein.
[00:12:08] Speaker C: Yeah. No, I mean, listen, will you send me your pastina kids recipe? I feel like I failed my children a little.
[00:12:13] Speaker A: Yeah. Pasta is like it.
[00:12:14] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:12:14] Speaker C: My mom used to be that's. That's something your kids can take to school. You're gonna have to get the thermos lunchbox, the omi lunchbox has the lunchbox.
[00:12:20] Speaker A: I'm like, not there yet. I just got the bank orientation's August 31st. I had to, like, get moving.
[00:12:24] Speaker C: It's happening. We're going back to school before Labor Day this year. And I don't, like.
[00:12:27] Speaker B: I don't like.
[00:12:27] Speaker A: What?
[00:12:28] Speaker B: It's terrible.
[00:12:28] Speaker C: This is not it.
[00:12:29] Speaker A: I know. What's our next one? Do you want to read it? You want me to?
[00:12:33] Speaker B: Okay. Company just texted that they're coming over in an hour.
[00:12:37] Speaker C: What do you whip together so funny? So actually just did a real about this.
There's a product from BJ. Since we love BJ's. It's these.
It's these little, like, almost like, Bang Bang shrimp.
[00:12:47] Speaker B: O.
[00:12:48] Speaker C: And I always have those in my freezer because if somebody's coming over, you make little. I made a grazing board of the little bang Bang shrimp with, like, noodles and lettuce cups. And it was just everything's in that little box with the sauce, and, like, you just pop them in the oven and then just kind of any, like, carrots and cucumbers and anything that you like, I just made, like. It was like I had a group of friends coming over, and I was like, oh, I'm just gonna throw this together. And people were like, you literally just threw this together. It was like having that product in my food.
[00:13:15] Speaker B: You do it effortlessly with food. She does it with clothes.
[00:13:18] Speaker A: And what do I.
Mothering mommy.
[00:13:21] Speaker C: Yes. You have three kids. You actually have, like, we've got. You have a whole nother kid to take care of. That is a lot on your plate. I like entertaining with that.
[00:13:29] Speaker B: That's good.
[00:13:29] Speaker C: And I always have one. That's a good trick.
[00:13:31] Speaker A: Where do you get those?
[00:13:33] Speaker C: I'm gonna forget the brand right now, which is bad because.
[00:13:35] Speaker A: So you like things in the freezer?
[00:13:37] Speaker C: I do like my freezer just to have it.
[00:13:39] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:39] Speaker A: I love in the freezer.
[00:13:40] Speaker B: I feel like that's good to just
[00:13:41] Speaker C: show you how it came up.
[00:13:41] Speaker B: Really cute. I mean, my kids love, like, pizza bagels, Tostitos.
[00:13:44] Speaker C: Yeah, of course.
[00:13:45] Speaker B: Delicious hot dog weenies.
[00:13:47] Speaker A: Social.
[00:13:47] Speaker C: Yeah. Who doesn't love a hot dog? It's Social Kitchen. It's Social Kitchens is the brand. And they have met BJ's. They're so just easy.
[00:13:54] Speaker A: It's like your favorite brand at BJ's.
[00:13:56] Speaker C: Look, it's literally was like, like, friends are coming over. What do you got? And I literally just like, oh, you
[00:14:01] Speaker B: literally did what I did.
[00:14:03] Speaker A: Do you edit all your videos?
[00:14:04] Speaker C: I do. I, like, need to start paying Somebody to do it because it's so much work.
[00:14:07] Speaker A: But you're so good at.
[00:14:10] Speaker C: Just came together. I made a little spicy mayo. Like, it just.
[00:14:12] Speaker A: And like. Like, that's what I love. Easy. And then you also add in your own flavor, like you made.
[00:14:16] Speaker C: So look, the board came together. So cute.
[00:14:18] Speaker A: Wait, you're, like, insane.
[00:14:19] Speaker B: When can we come to your house?
[00:14:20] Speaker C: Anytime, literally. I'll be home Saturday. Come on over.
[00:14:23] Speaker A: Wait. You're so insane.
[00:14:24] Speaker C: It's so fun like that. Like, I had all the stuff in the pantry and, like, the only vegetable
[00:14:28] Speaker A: love coming to your house.
[00:14:28] Speaker C: The only. Oh, yeah, I do love.
[00:14:29] Speaker A: And then you try it is what I love that you try.
[00:14:31] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. You gotta eat everything. My. My kids, like, the only vegetable that they'll eat is the cucumber. So I always have, like, 5,000 cucumbers.
[00:14:38] Speaker A: No, broccoli. Jill loves.
[00:14:39] Speaker C: Actually, James likes broccoli. Well, I mean, I won't eat broccoli, but I'm like, she'll eat cucumbers, like, whole strawberries.
[00:14:44] Speaker A: But pickles.
[00:14:45] Speaker C: Pickles.
[00:14:45] Speaker B: They love pickles. Yes.
[00:14:47] Speaker C: I love the pickles.
[00:14:48] Speaker A: So what's next on this little agenda? Let's see.
Okay, let's talk about family. Like, how has becoming a mom changed your relationship with food? You kind of talked about that.
[00:14:58] Speaker C: Yeah, I think. I don't know. As a child of the 90s, like, I just feel like we're not, like, talking so much about the health and the this and the that and the. You know, we're just talking differently around our.
[00:15:07] Speaker A: Would you consider yourself, like, a crunchy mom?
[00:15:09] Speaker C: Or what's the. What's the middle? Like, I'm like, not crunchy. Crunchy.
[00:15:13] Speaker B: There's.
[00:15:13] Speaker A: What's the other one? You always talk about it.
[00:15:15] Speaker B: Wait, is crunchy granola.
[00:15:16] Speaker A: No.
[00:15:17] Speaker B: What's crunchy?
[00:15:18] Speaker C: Crunchy is, like, super organic.
[00:15:19] Speaker B: Super. Oh, that's granola.
Granola mom.
[00:15:23] Speaker A: Wait, I'm saying crunchy mom is like a mom. Organic, organic. And then what's the other one?
[00:15:27] Speaker B: I don't know. I say gas fed, I will run into a gas station and get my kids milk, and she would rather die.
[00:15:33] Speaker C: I would never die.
[00:15:34] Speaker B: Would you do that?
[00:15:35] Speaker C: I only do organic milk and organic produce for them. But I don't. I don't know.
What's the opposite of that?
[00:15:41] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:15:42] Speaker C: There's like a scrunchie. Is it scrunchies in the middle?
One of my most popular reels that I ever posted was about being an almond mom and how I felt like I was. I Was we were raised in the generation of almond moms. I don't know about you, about you guys.
[00:15:54] Speaker B: Can you explain what I mean?
[00:15:55] Speaker C: Almond moms are like the moms that are like, oh, I've had five almonds and I'm so full. Or like, they don't, like, feed themselves.
And, like, I feel like that I know a lot of the moms that I'm friends with are, like, moving away from that moment of, like, moms need to be fed too. Moms. Like, you're, like, you're constantly. I mean, like, there's some days it's 11 o' clock and I haven't even had a fucking sip of water.
And my kids have had two meals and a snack.
[00:16:16] Speaker B: Wait, I feel like some days, like, some of my. The only thing I've eaten is, like, the leftover crust that they had or
[00:16:21] Speaker C: like, literally the end of the end, but right. And like, I'm ill then I'm just spending my time ill. I was working and I want to
[00:16:28] Speaker B: reinvent like, mom should be sit. And I don't know the last time I actually sat.
[00:16:32] Speaker A: That's a big thing in my household. We sit for dinner. You sit for dinner, and we don't get up until we're all done eating and talking.
[00:16:37] Speaker C: It's so hard.
When my son was 2, I feel like we were doing that.
[00:16:41] Speaker A: He could be like, mommy, play golf. Yesterday he was like, 100 times, mommy, play golf with me. Play golf with me. Because I played golf with him, like, all day yesterday. And my husband even was like, gio, we're eating dinner. Mommy and Daddy are talking. Like, that's big. I'm not very strict in that sense, but that is one thing. I'm big.
[00:16:55] Speaker C: I know, I know. I try.
[00:16:57] Speaker B: I try. Half the time my kids are, like, eating off the couch.
[00:17:00] Speaker A: Well, yeah, Gio's not eating with us, but.
[00:17:02] Speaker C: No, I know it's hard, but I just think, like, like, them seeing their moms eat is, like, important and, like, just like, you know that, like, we're, like, changing the script.
[00:17:10] Speaker B: That is a very good point.
[00:17:11] Speaker C: And like, but I posted kids and eat it sat with my. With my, like, viewership very much because it was like. It was like people were like, wow. Like, I never really thought.
[00:17:19] Speaker A: So true. I agree so much.
[00:17:22] Speaker C: But. Yeah, it was a. But I think that what was the original question was, what kind of mom are you?
[00:17:28] Speaker B: No, no. Well, crunchy.
[00:17:29] Speaker C: Oh, crunchy granola we were talking about. I'm. I am a little bit of a stickler when it comes to organic, like, meat and produce for the kids breastfed.
I mean, there's like, real life.
[00:17:38] Speaker A: I mean.
I mean, like, I know you say what you say like it's. People say it often, like, oh, my God, who cares? But like, this day and age, it matters. Maybe not. When we were younger. It doesn't matter. We weren't doing grass fed. But what's in our food?
[00:17:51] Speaker C: I mean, if you were eating what. I mean, I grew up eating pop tarts for breakfast.
[00:17:54] Speaker A: Same.
[00:17:54] Speaker C: And cereal. And those same pop Tarts are, like, not the same pop Tarts.
[00:17:58] Speaker A: That's what my point is.
[00:17:59] Speaker C: So that is alarming. And I'm just. I'm a little bit. I. I do the best that I can, but I'm more conscious. I'm more conscious of.
[00:18:06] Speaker A: If I can be conscious and like, get frozen nuggets that, like.
[00:18:08] Speaker C: Right.
[00:18:09] Speaker A: I don't know better than the one below it, then I will.
[00:18:13] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:18:13] Speaker B: You know.
[00:18:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I will.
[00:18:14] Speaker A: So anyway, my last question, in terms of family, like, have you had any traditions growing up in your household in terms of food that you're bringing to your kids now? Like a certain meal or a certain snack or. This is what we used to do. I used to have cream cheese and jelly.
[00:18:27] Speaker C: Yeah. So cream cheese and jelly is a big one. I grew up eating a lot of cream cheese and jelly. And there's.
[00:18:31] Speaker A: I'm gonna try that.
[00:18:32] Speaker C: There's the camps that, like, my daughter. Yeah, I love cream cheese and jelly.
There's camps where, like, my daughters went to camp. She couldn't bring, like, nuts. And so I was like, all right. We're doing cream cheese and jelly. And it's just, like, really easy. There's something, I think, biologically in me. And you guys can say, if this is for you guys, I need to eat pasta on Sunday. Oh, I have to eat pasta on Sunday.
[00:18:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:18:48] Speaker A: Literally every Sunday. I'm like, we're. No matter what. No matter what. Even if it's out to dinner.
[00:18:53] Speaker C: Right?
[00:18:53] Speaker A: Pasta on Sunday.
[00:18:54] Speaker C: We have to eat pasta on Sundays. And I think, like, they're growing up like that.
[00:18:56] Speaker B: And we all love pasta.
[00:18:57] Speaker A: I mean, that's like such a ingrained in my brain. I wouldn't even think about tradition. But it is tradition.
[00:19:01] Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely.
[00:19:03] Speaker B: Though I have to say, sometimes when we're really hungover on Sunday, we get Chinese food.
[00:19:07] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, I will never do that.
[00:19:09] Speaker C: That's still noodles, though.
[00:19:10] Speaker B: It is.
[00:19:10] Speaker C: You're probably getting lo me. So there's pasta in there.
[00:19:12] Speaker A: I don't know. I just grew up like. Like, Sunday was never anything but a Sunday dinner.
[00:19:17] Speaker C: Yeah, I know. And I feel like we've gotten away from that a little bit.
[00:19:19] Speaker A: Or fish. Like, we never do fish on Sunday.
[00:19:21] Speaker B: Right? We.
[00:19:22] Speaker C: I feel like I don't. We don't do the. Maybe. Maybe I'm gonna make that a little bit of a goal for this fall. I'd like to bring back the big family.
[00:19:28] Speaker A: Do you make a gravy?
[00:19:29] Speaker C: Yeah, I like to make a saw. I call it sauce.
[00:19:32] Speaker A: That's okay.
[00:19:32] Speaker C: But I can. I can. I can.
[00:19:34] Speaker A: I can get meat in it or no.
[00:19:35] Speaker C: Depends on the day. Depends on, like, what I'm doing. Like, doing like, a briol. I like to, like, braise a little briol in there. And, like, that makes the sauce really yummy.
[00:19:42] Speaker A: I love that.
[00:19:42] Speaker C: A little sausage, little meatballs. But, like, if.
[00:19:44] Speaker B: Oh, my God. We need to.
[00:19:47] Speaker C: Can we do an. On, like, an on site podcast where we're, like, having a Sunday?
[00:19:51] Speaker A: That's what I wanted to do at first, when we first reached out to you. Like, let's do that.
[00:19:54] Speaker C: Can we? And we go on the boat.
[00:19:55] Speaker A: It'll be fun. It'll be perfect.
[00:19:57] Speaker C: I'm just fully inviting myself.
[00:19:58] Speaker A: No, literally, Wait. So I love this because this is a good one you put in here. Hot takes. Let's do that.
[00:20:04] Speaker B: Let me see.
[00:20:05] Speaker A: Like, pineapple.
[00:20:07] Speaker B: Okay. All right. These are just your personal preferences. Hot takes, pineapple on pizza.
[00:20:12] Speaker C: I'm okay with it.
[00:20:13] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:20:13] Speaker C: Don't take away my Italian card. I'm sorry.
[00:20:17] Speaker A: I'm okay with it.
[00:20:18] Speaker B: All right. Ketchup on eggs.
[00:20:19] Speaker C: I love ketchup on eggs.
[00:20:20] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:20:21] Speaker C: There's no other way to eat eggs.
[00:20:22] Speaker A: Hot sauce.
[00:20:23] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, I'll do both. But, like, ketchup on it.
[00:20:26] Speaker A: But ketchup. Hot sauce is ketchup.
[00:20:27] Speaker C: Like, salt, pepper, ketchup.
[00:20:28] Speaker A: So they're good.
[00:20:28] Speaker C: Maybe that's my next tattoo.
Salt, pepper, ketchup.
[00:20:31] Speaker A: Ketchup.
[00:20:31] Speaker B: That's so cute.
[00:20:33] Speaker C: Whose initials are those? Not my children. Salt, pepper, ketchup.
[00:20:36] Speaker A: No, you have to.
I would die. I would die.
Oh, we know this one. Air fryer.
[00:20:43] Speaker C: Sorry.
[00:20:43] Speaker B: Overrated Ranch belongs on everything.
[00:20:49] Speaker A: Facts.
[00:20:50] Speaker C: My husband went to Penn State.
[00:20:51] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:20:52] Speaker C: And that was the first time I ever explored pizza and ranch together. And like, you had, like, a couple of those pictures out of Penn State, and you're like, I need pizza.
[00:20:59] Speaker B: Yes. It's so good.
[00:21:00] Speaker A: So good.
[00:21:01] Speaker B: It's so good. So good.
[00:21:02] Speaker C: But, yeah, ranch is delicious.
[00:21:03] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:21:04] Speaker A: Oh, how do you like your steak?
[00:21:05] Speaker C: Medium rare.
[00:21:07] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:21:08] Speaker C: Am I getting kicked out?
[00:21:08] Speaker A: You hate me.
[00:21:11] Speaker B: She pulls apart her Meat. Every meat. All the meat. My chicken, her chicken.
[00:21:17] Speaker C: Chicken needs to be cooked all the way.
[00:21:18] Speaker A: Well, yes, that's because it needs to be cooked.
[00:21:20] Speaker B: No, but if it's in a wrap and you see a little bit of something, you will.
[00:21:24] Speaker A: Okay, what about it?
[00:21:25] Speaker B: I'm just saying.
[00:21:26] Speaker C: And I actually would eat.
[00:21:27] Speaker A: I skeeve other people's chicken. So I want the chicken wrap. I want the chicken wrapped so bad.
I have to look at it. I have to.
[00:21:34] Speaker B: No, but I'm saying that she doesn't
[00:21:35] Speaker A: prevent eyeballs one time a chicken wrap, and she'll never let me live it down. When I pulled out the chicken and it wasn't cooked, by the way.
[00:21:43] Speaker C: So anyway, no, you cannot eat chicken that's not cooked. I like, like, steak tartare. Like, I like raw. Like, I like sushi. I like my food like, raw.
[00:21:50] Speaker B: What's your go to sushi roll?
[00:21:52] Speaker C: I am like. I like a lunch special.
[00:21:54] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:21:55] Speaker C: Actually, one of the questions that you had on the thing, I will sa the end. I'd like a little lunch special. I usually get a. Like, if I'm doing, like, plain rolls, tuna, avocado, salmon, and I like. I like a sweet potato roll.
[00:22:07] Speaker B: I like that.
[00:22:08] Speaker C: Like, it's fully cooked.
[00:22:09] Speaker A: Sometimes I.
[00:22:10] Speaker C: My kids. My kids eat that.
[00:22:11] Speaker B: So, like, they'll. They'll eat the sweet potato roll.
Now I want sushi, so.
[00:22:15] Speaker A: I know. So good. I love sushi.
[00:22:16] Speaker B: I always want sushi.
[00:22:17] Speaker C: So you don't you like your steak rare? Like, I mean, well, well done.
[00:22:20] Speaker A: I. I used to eat a medium. Then I got pregnant, and then I just.
[00:22:23] Speaker B: Just.
[00:22:24] Speaker A: Now you do well done. I like a little bit, like, I'll do medium.
[00:22:27] Speaker C: Okay. Medium's okay. I can.
[00:22:29] Speaker A: I can do medium.
[00:22:31] Speaker C: See, it's funny. I had my first kid and, like, you know, no deli meats. My second kid, I was eating, like, rare steak.
[00:22:36] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:22:36] Speaker B: On your third kid, you'll be.
[00:22:38] Speaker C: I'm not having a God bless you. I am finished after two. But, yeah, no, I'm like. I've had a little gospel rose. Everyone's totally.
[00:22:46] Speaker A: I had wine.
[00:22:46] Speaker B: No, it really. It progresses after each.
[00:22:48] Speaker C: I can't even imagine if there was
[00:22:49] Speaker B: a fourth kid doing lines of cocaine.
[00:22:51] Speaker A: Yeah, like, literally off your first kid.
Wait, Cilantro.
[00:22:57] Speaker C: I love it. Oh. Oh, no.
[00:23:01] Speaker B: Cilantro is something I cannot stomach.
[00:23:03] Speaker C: Like, both of you.
[00:23:04] Speaker B: I mean, you. I didn't know that about you.
[00:23:05] Speaker C: That's a genetic thing.
[00:23:06] Speaker A: I know.
I can take it. I can't.
[00:23:08] Speaker C: Oh, I love cilantro.
[00:23:09] Speaker B: I can't do it. It tastes so bad to me.
[00:23:12] Speaker C: Well, that's like a genetic, that's like a biological thing. Like if you don't like it.
[00:23:15] Speaker A: Is that weird?
[00:23:16] Speaker C: Yeah. No, I love it.
[00:23:17] Speaker B: I love it. Okay. Cereal for dinner. Is that okay?
[00:23:19] Speaker C: 100% that.
[00:23:20] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:23:21] Speaker A: What do you cook with oil or butter?
[00:23:23] Speaker C: Both.
[00:23:24] Speaker B: Same.
[00:23:24] Speaker C: Depends on what kind of.
[00:23:25] Speaker B: But what's your brand of butter?
[00:23:26] Speaker C: Oh, you know, it's funny. For parade.com, i once ranked 24 butters.
[00:23:31] Speaker B: So I still have tons of my kids dream.
[00:23:33] Speaker C: Oh yeah, it was a lot of butter. But did you just eat like, what
[00:23:37] Speaker A: did you, did you just eat when you were doing it?
[00:23:38] Speaker C: I got, I got a fresh baguette from the bakery and we just went. We just went.
[00:23:41] Speaker B: That's so fun. Can I do that with you?
[00:23:43] Speaker C: This is literally. Please come to my house when I have to do one of these because like I'm just sitting here.
We should do a lot of things.
[00:23:50] Speaker A: You try and we'll try too.
[00:23:51] Speaker C: I tried 20 popular salted. Salted butters. And here we go. I gotta scroll to the bottom because I don't remember.
[00:23:57] Speaker A: Tell me right now.
[00:23:57] Speaker C: It was.
Oh, Kerrygold.
[00:24:00] Speaker A: That's what I use.
[00:24:01] Speaker C: Kerrygold.
[00:24:01] Speaker B: Is that what you.
[00:24:02] Speaker C: It was just like Kerrygold. French butter from Whole Foods was the second one. Vermont Creamery. I love Vermont Creamery. They've got a lot of great options for life house. Your what?
[00:24:11] Speaker B: Breads.
[00:24:14] Speaker C: Yeah, I grew up on break zones.
[00:24:15] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:24:15] Speaker C: Vital farms. I like their stuff.
[00:24:17] Speaker A: Stuff.
[00:24:17] Speaker C: Those were the top five.
[00:24:19] Speaker A: This is what we use.
[00:24:20] Speaker C: And I will say I'm a, I'm a salted butter girl. Yes, I understand the importance of unsalted butter if you're a baker. Like I said, I'm not a baker. So I always want salted butter in my house. And if you're gonna have chocolate chip cookies that I bake.
Yeah, that's the winner.
[00:24:33] Speaker A: So good.
[00:24:33] Speaker C: If I begrudgingly bake you chocolate chip cookies, they were made with salted butter. I'm sorry, I'm not going to salted butter.
[00:24:39] Speaker A: Okay, so moving on, let's do some questions for our listeners.
[00:24:45] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:24:46] Speaker A: What is the best meal you've ever made to impress your in laws?
[00:24:50] Speaker C: Oh, my in laws. My in laws. Like everything that I cook. My, my, actually my father in law is an incredible cook. So he's a big. No, no, he's a big. Like we cook in different styles. He's a big, like, he likes his, the big green egg. He loves smoking. He likes smoking meats and Stuff.
[00:25:05] Speaker A: Yeah, I hate that. So smoked.
[00:25:08] Speaker C: Anyway, he actually does it really well. Like he'll smoke salmon and then I'll kind of like, I'll like make a side or something and he'll bring it over and we'll kind of collab.
[00:25:16] Speaker A: You guys like are like the family cooks.
[00:25:17] Speaker C: Yeah, he's like, he and I are.
My husband does not cook. My husband cannot make a scrambled egg.
[00:25:22] Speaker B: Oh, that is so funny.
[00:25:23] Speaker C: Which like, I wish he did. Like, I'm like, I do this for a living. And like, I get that I do
[00:25:27] Speaker B: this for a living because I don't
[00:25:28] Speaker C: always want to do this.
He promised. We did a major kitchen renovation in 2020 and he promised me he would learn to make five things and he has yet to do that. It is 100 scrambled eggs.
[00:25:38] Speaker A: Big.
[00:25:39] Speaker C: We are halfway through 2026.
[00:25:40] Speaker A: Right?
[00:25:41] Speaker B: Oh, that kitchen is beautif.
[00:25:43] Speaker C: You guys should come over. It was.
[00:25:44] Speaker A: No, we have to. We were planning that.
[00:25:45] Speaker C: I built it to like film in and like, like. So we're manifesting. We're manifesting what's coming next.
[00:25:50] Speaker A: I love that you did that. I need a whole new house cuz I have terrible lighting.
[00:25:53] Speaker C: No, yeah, I know the lighting and all that. No, I like, it's. It's a night. I've got like 11ft of counter space, which is like great. You need everybody coming over and cooking and sitting at my countertop and enjoying.
Yeah, I just feel like we cook together. I feel like there's nothing that I really like. Yeah, my, my father in law helps when we're cooking for the family. Like he'll. He'll do a bunch of ribs or like a bunch of salmon and like will kind of collab on it.
[00:26:13] Speaker A: What is always in your fridge?
[00:26:16] Speaker C: Organic milk. No, same organic milk. My kids are 6 and almost 4.
[00:26:21] Speaker B: Horizon.
[00:26:22] Speaker C: I actually get Aldi. It's. It's actually very affordable. Or Costco. That's normally where.
[00:26:26] Speaker A: You know what's so funny? Like back in the day, like when you were kids and you're always playing, like milk and eggs were always like on the grocery list.
[00:26:31] Speaker C: Like now I understand you need the milk and bread. You need the milk, eggs and bread shop. Right.
[00:26:37] Speaker A: Does bread go in your freezer? Does it sit on the counter?
[00:26:39] Speaker C: I put it in the fridge. Oh, the fridge. My husband hates it. He's like, can we put it in the freezer? Oh yeah, right.
[00:26:44] Speaker A: When I buy it. Right.
[00:26:45] Speaker C: And then you take it out of the.
[00:26:46] Speaker A: Because it's more nutritional. When you put in the freezer, do
[00:26:48] Speaker B: you put avocados in the freezer? In the fridge.
[00:26:49] Speaker C: No, you can. I don't like the texture of avocado once they get cold.
[00:26:53] Speaker B: Yeah, me neither.
[00:26:54] Speaker C: So I don't. I let them, but then they rot and I throw them away.
[00:26:56] Speaker A: So I leave everything out on my counter.
[00:26:58] Speaker B: Tomatoes.
[00:26:59] Speaker A: You Tomatoes.
[00:27:00] Speaker C: You have to others. They get mealy if you put them in the fridge.
What's always in my fridge? Milk for the kids. Because they're still big milk drinkers.
Salami.
Always salami. Or prosciutto or something like that. Always some kind of cheese. I feel like cheese is like. My kids, like, go to, like, snack. Yeah. Grilled cheese. They love string cheese. String cheese is another. I've. I've rated. I've ranked 17 different types of string cheese.
[00:27:22] Speaker A: Oh, my God. I love string cheese.
[00:27:24] Speaker C: There's a lot of string cheese. I think the best one was Galbani. You guys know that logo?
[00:27:27] Speaker A: Yes. Let me see.
[00:27:28] Speaker C: It's like their mozzarella is, like, really good. That was the best one.
We love a Galvani string cheese.
[00:27:33] Speaker A: Love that.
[00:27:34] Speaker C: Yeah, that's it. That's what's in my fridge.
[00:27:36] Speaker A: So we have a couple more things here before we wrap up. Want to do, like, finish the sentence. I think this is the fun.
[00:27:40] Speaker B: Yeah, this is funny. Okay, finish the sentence.
[00:27:42] Speaker A: So finish the sentence. So we're going to say things like my kids think I. And you Finish the sentence.
[00:27:46] Speaker B: I think about you.
[00:27:47] Speaker C: Oh, boy.
[00:27:48] Speaker B: Okay.
I'll never understand why adults
[00:27:54] Speaker C: don't take more time for themselves.
[00:27:57] Speaker B: Love that one.
[00:27:57] Speaker C: That was going to be my final answer.
[00:27:59] Speaker A: I love that.
[00:28:00] Speaker B: If calories didn't count, I would eat salami.
[00:28:04] Speaker C: Calories don't count.
I. I actually, I'm gonna retract that because I've tried. I'm like. I don't know. I'm more into intuitive eating.
[00:28:14] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:28:15] Speaker C: Calories don't count. Eat what you want to eat.
[00:28:17] Speaker A: I agree.
[00:28:17] Speaker C: Especially in mom life. Like, enjoy your life. Eat what you want to eat. And, like, it all balances out.
[00:28:22] Speaker A: That's that. Go for a walk.
[00:28:23] Speaker C: Did you go for a walk? Eat what you want to eat. Like, yeah, the calories.
[00:28:28] Speaker B: The calories.
The one food I'll never let leave my house.
[00:28:32] Speaker C: I can't keep saying salami.
Like, let leave my house.
[00:28:36] Speaker B: Salami. Salami. Salami.
[00:28:38] Speaker C: Like, let leave my house. Like, I want to always have it in my house.
Pasta. Yeah, always pasta in the pantry.
[00:28:43] Speaker A: I always buy pasta when I go to the grocery store. Grocery store. Every single time.
[00:28:48] Speaker C: Every single time.
[00:28:49] Speaker A: Don't need it. I need A box of pasta every single time.
[00:28:51] Speaker C: You know what? I do have a pasta.
[00:28:52] Speaker B: What's your favorite?
[00:28:53] Speaker A: If.
[00:28:53] Speaker B: Okay, this is a serious question.
[00:28:54] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:28:56] Speaker B: If you were a pasta. If you were.
[00:28:59] Speaker A: Wow.
[00:29:00] Speaker C: It's the curly. The curly. Like it's a thicker fous.
[00:29:04] Speaker B: What would you be?
[00:29:07] Speaker A: I think I would be bucatini.
[00:29:09] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, yeah.
[00:29:11] Speaker A: Long, thick. Long.
[00:29:12] Speaker B: Long and long and thin. Long and thick. I'd be skinny thick.
What would be something th.
[00:29:18] Speaker A: You would be like the little ronies, the elbow pasta, or a stuff shoddy.
[00:29:24] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah.
[00:29:26] Speaker A: Do you make like, monograph?
[00:29:27] Speaker C: I. I should. I need to make that more. I know. Monica. My grandmother's rolling in her grave. I just said.
[00:29:32] Speaker A: No, that's what you just said. I'm rolling in my grave and I'm not dead yet.
[00:29:36] Speaker C: Monogram. I'm not. I'm rolling in my grave and I'm not dead yet.
I have a mom hack when it comes to pasta, though. If your kids only eat pasta.
[00:29:43] Speaker B: Okay, what is it?
[00:29:44] Speaker C: Rami pasta. Have you seen that? It's the. It's. It's a protein one. I actually just bought it, but it's delicious. I've tried. Tried a million protein pasta.
[00:29:51] Speaker A: I buy sourdough pasta.
[00:29:52] Speaker B: It's.
[00:29:52] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:29:55] Speaker B: Brand one. I haven't made it yet.
[00:29:56] Speaker C: It's very good.
[00:29:57] Speaker B: Excited.
[00:29:57] Speaker C: My daughter. My daughter skews pickier. But like, I'll make that for all of us. Put some red sauce on it and then like meatballs. And that is like a very high protein dinner. And the kids eat it. I'll put. If they want it with butter. If they want it with cheat. Whatever they want it with. I. Brahmi. Call me.
I am obsessed with brahmi. And it goes on sale at Whole Foods and I stock up on it. My. That's like. That's like my go to pasta these days. Not on a Sunday, but like a weeknight pasta.
[00:30:21] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:30:21] Speaker B: That is good. That is a really good mom hack. If your kids only.
[00:30:24] Speaker C: Only eat pasta, it's great.
[00:30:25] Speaker B: Okay, what is your toxic treat at the grocery store?
[00:30:29] Speaker C: Over buying everything?
[00:30:30] Speaker A: No, over buying 150 for one meal.
[00:30:33] Speaker B: Mine also is I always forget to bring the bags that I have 5,000.
[00:30:37] Speaker C: That's a shout out to New Jersey and their craziness. Oh, my God. When you're like on vacation somewhere and they give you a plastic bag and you're like, oh, my God, a plastic bag. I'm in a treasure list forever.
[00:30:46] Speaker A: Bag of chips. Every time I go to the grocery store.
[00:30:49] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:30:49] Speaker A: I don't know why I have like, to eat while you're.
[00:30:52] Speaker B: Will you eat while you shop?
[00:30:53] Speaker C: Of course. Oh, yeah, of course. Or my kids. My husband's always like, this is insane. I'm like, I'll pay for it.
[00:30:58] Speaker B: Wait, I'm stealing. No, she will.
[00:31:00] Speaker A: I steal bananas.
You're getting arrested.
[00:31:03] Speaker C: Don't listen to this.
[00:31:04] Speaker A: No, if my kid wants a banana, I'm giving him a banana. And I'm not paying for the banana.
[00:31:08] Speaker B: Why give them the peel?
[00:31:10] Speaker C: No, I mean, you have to weigh it at that point. I think I only give them snacks that I have to, like, I'll give. I'll open the string cheese and I'll pay for the container.
[00:31:16] Speaker A: Well, I, I, I mean, I did a video yesterday for mom o'. Clock. Like, how many snacks my kid eats in a grocery store. And I had to open up the cheese. So obviously I paid for that. It was a whole container of cheese.
[00:31:24] Speaker C: But I will say I have stolen from the Whole Foods cookie bar.
[00:31:28] Speaker A: I pay a lot of money.
[00:31:28] Speaker C: Yeah, no, I pay. Actually, though, another mom hack is at Whole Foods. They have that. If you go to customer service, they have kids snacks at the front.
[00:31:34] Speaker A: Yes, I know.
[00:31:35] Speaker C: Just learn this because they got my kids hooked on those, like, junky cereal bars.
[00:31:39] Speaker B: Go get the snack.
[00:31:40] Speaker C: You walk to. Cuz my kids. My kids, literally, we drive by Whole Foods and they're like, can we have a snack?
[00:31:44] Speaker B: No way.
[00:31:45] Speaker C: And it's. I mean, they're geniuses because they're opening.
[00:31:47] Speaker A: I didn't know that.
[00:31:47] Speaker C: They told me they're opening up a $4 box.
[00:31:49] Speaker A: You could want a snack. And I was like, I have plenty.
[00:31:52] Speaker C: They usually have. And it's like, at their level in my whole food. So they usually have, like, Clementine's bananas cereal bars or like a pouch. And like, my kids, like, they will love going home.
[00:32:02] Speaker A: They know that Whole Foods give snacks.
[00:32:03] Speaker C: And they're like, but now I buy the bars of work. Thank you, Jeff Bezos.
Now I buy them.
That's a good thing for their lunch boxes. They like those cereal bars.
[00:32:11] Speaker B: They eat them.
[00:32:11] Speaker C: No, me, no. Oh, my God. I'm really gonna think about this for you guys. I'm very concerned.
[00:32:15] Speaker A: No, I know.
[00:32:15] Speaker C: I'm gonna have to really make you guys a meal plan for the kids. I'm very worried about them.
[00:32:19] Speaker A: You make me a meal plan for lunch.
[00:32:21] Speaker B: Stressing over here. Seriously, what is one thing that you're. This doesn't have to be food, but, like, one thing your husband will tell you to stop buying. It could be food or it could not be Something. Or are you like a shopper?
[00:32:31] Speaker C: I'm not a shopper, actually. I'm not. I. Maybe I need to be. I need to be more in like my fashion girly era. I'm not like a.
[00:32:38] Speaker B: Here, this is my friend Dom. Dom. Me Jeanette. Jeanette Dom.
[00:32:41] Speaker C: You know my. I do newly. Is that, like, a little weird?
[00:32:43] Speaker A: I used to do newly.
[00:32:44] Speaker C: I like newly. I love newly right now. And it's like a shirt.
[00:32:47] Speaker A: You know why? Because that's the stuff that they have the cutest trendy.
[00:32:51] Speaker C: And I'm gonna wear it twice. It's. I actually been wearing it as a. I've been wearing it as like a beach cover.
[00:32:55] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:32:56] Speaker C: And I, like, will wear it. Sometimes I'll stain it because of all my cooking.
[00:33:00] Speaker B: Then you send it back and then
[00:33:02] Speaker C: you get to pick.
[00:33:02] Speaker A: I used to do it for work a lot. Yeah.
[00:33:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:33:04] Speaker B: It's.
[00:33:04] Speaker C: It's because I'm always filming and so I'm like, I can't wear the same T shirt every single day. So that's like, it's. I. Oh, you can I write it off? I write it off of my business.
[00:33:11] Speaker A: Yeah, that's like.
[00:33:12] Speaker C: It's like it's my wardrobe.
[00:33:13] Speaker A: Yeah, write it off.
[00:33:14] Speaker C: Totally write it off. What's something my husband tells me to stop buying?
He's actually more of a shopper than I am. Yeah. And he's the one that comes home from Costco with like a dragon float. So, like, I'm like, I have to tell him, don't have a pool, but we're getting it. Literally, I'm like, we didn't need this dragon.
[00:33:28] Speaker B: Oh, the blow up dragon.
[00:33:29] Speaker C: He'll like, literally come home with it
[00:33:30] Speaker A: and I'll be like, wait, that's hilarious.
[00:33:32] Speaker C: He's much more of the like, let's stop buying the stuff than I am.
[00:33:35] Speaker B: Let's wrap this up. We could talk to you for ever.
[00:33:39] Speaker C: I don't want to go home.
[00:33:39] Speaker B: I know, but what's next for you? Like, in your journey of content creating, I saw something very exciting on your Instagram that you were rated the top.
[00:33:51] Speaker C: I was. I think this is actually gonna. This is gonna air after that is. So hopefully I'm in the top eight.
[00:33:56] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:33:56] Speaker C: But I will send you guys the voting thing. I was just voted one of the top 50 North Jersey content creators. That is amazing. And so there's this whole voting campaign. Now I actually have to share it. So more people vote.
[00:34:05] Speaker A: Share it. Share it to us.
[00:34:06] Speaker C: I will put it on mama club.
It's unlimited voting. I Was like, how long, like, how long I'll sit here or something. Like, while we're like, our kids are complaining about something and. Yeah, I thought that was a really cool, like to be recognized for this.
[00:34:17] Speaker A: Yeah, that's awesome.
[00:34:18] Speaker C: And I don't, I'm, I'm excited for fall just so I can have a little bit more focus and routine. Yeah, I love summer. Summer forever. You know, I just, I'm like, I'm a full girl, but I'm also like, I love summer, but I love routine. And summer is just so like chaotic. It's a different camp every week. It's a different. This, this kid's here, this kid's there and I'm just like, like, I can't focus on anything.
[00:34:38] Speaker B: Also, you're coming off of a 10 day vacation with your family trapped in
[00:34:41] Speaker C: a little house, literally. And we don't have any. I'm like, we should have brought a babysitter with us.
So I'm really looking forward to fall and just like, really like, I've got a lot of, like, I feel like everyone's back, everyone's on vacation too. A lot of, A lot of like out of office messages when you're like cold. So you guys hold off till September. Like it's September, people. I said the last two weeks of August, everyone's back in office. They're locked in.
[00:35:00] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:35:00] Speaker C: I'm just excited for like, I think like I had a, I had a really big, big spring into summer. I'm really excited for like the fall into holiday.
[00:35:07] Speaker A: Anything up and coming.
[00:35:08] Speaker C: Just I've got some really exciting brands cooking, bubbling, simmering in the inboxes.
Just like some really, I mean like I, I'm like, the Jenks energy is like running through fall.
[00:35:17] Speaker A: Oh my God.
[00:35:18] Speaker C: Just like brand partners that I'm like, just excited about and people that I really like working with.
[00:35:22] Speaker A: You're doing great.
[00:35:23] Speaker C: Thank you, thank you. We're all doing great.
[00:35:26] Speaker A: Now we're gonna follow your journey, tell our listeners where they can find you.
[00:35:29] Speaker C: You can find me, actually can find me a lot of places. And I'm called Jeanette Made it so you could just like kind of put. I'm on one of the things I sub stack, girlies. I love Substack.
[00:35:37] Speaker A: What's up Stack.
[00:35:38] Speaker C: It's a newsletter. Like it's, it's like, it's a newsletter platform with like an algorithm.
[00:35:43] Speaker B: Okay. So you can follow like when you get it through your email.
[00:35:46] Speaker C: Yes, yes, it's a newsletter.
But like if you go to app. No, anybody can Write about anything. Like, Mama Clock should definitely have a substack. I'm gonna give you guys some homework. You guys definitely need a sub stack.
[00:35:55] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:35:56] Speaker C: And then every time you have an episode, every time you guys have an episode, you should be sending out a sub stack. A kind of a recap of like the guest and the different things you subscribe to it. Yeah. And it's a paid platform. You could do unpaid or paid. So, like, you can get behind a paywall. So you could like, like, I guess there's a certain amount of money that you pay if, like, you want to support a creator and you get, like unlimited act. I haven't turned on my paywall because I feel like I'm too inconsistent with it. But if I was sending it out weekly, I would. I probably would.
It's just like a nice. It's like, it's a different way of accessing. Accessing your favorite creators.
[00:36:25] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:36:26] Speaker C: But you guys should. I'm like, you guys should do it after every episode. You could do like a wrap up all of your links. They can all be in there and they should.
[00:36:31] Speaker A: Advice.
[00:36:32] Speaker C: We love Substack. So Jeanette made it there. I'm on.
I'm on Instagram. It's probably my. Is my. My biggest one. I'm on TikTok. We do a lot of fun things on TikTok.
[00:36:42] Speaker A: Love it.
[00:36:43] Speaker C: What else do you have?
[00:36:44] Speaker A: YouTube.
[00:36:44] Speaker C: I do have YouTube. You're hearing it here first. I'm really excited about like starting maybe something long form a series of some sort.
[00:36:50] Speaker A: I love that.
[00:36:51] Speaker C: I feel like we're all missing. Our generation is missing Food Network.
[00:36:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:36:55] Speaker C: And those like how we need a Lydia.
And I'm just kind of like, it might be fun to dabble. It's been in the back of my head and I'm like, maybe this is something we want to pursue.
[00:37:04] Speaker A: Yeah, maybe this is such a good.
[00:37:06] Speaker C: You guys hold me accountable.
[00:37:07] Speaker A: I was accountable.
[00:37:08] Speaker C: Because I really. I would love to, like, do more long form.
[00:37:11] Speaker B: Love that you're manifesting.
[00:37:12] Speaker C: Yeah. We're just saying it out loud.
[00:37:13] Speaker A: You should absolutely do that.
[00:37:14] Speaker C: Yeah. I think that's something that I'm excited about. But yeah, I'm just excited to keep rocking and rolling.
[00:37:18] Speaker A: You're doing so good.
[00:37:19] Speaker C: Getting more things done. Less interruption.
Just like trying to like, focus. Get. Get some more things done. Be more consistent.
[00:37:26] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:37:26] Speaker C: Those are my goals for the fall.
[00:37:27] Speaker A: But thank you for coming on here with us. Mama Clock loves you.
[00:37:31] Speaker B: We have one final question for you.
[00:37:32] Speaker A: Oh, we do.
[00:37:33] Speaker C: I've got a good answer.
[00:37:34] Speaker B: To this.
[00:37:34] Speaker A: We have a bagel review we're doing with you. Oh, yeah.
[00:37:37] Speaker C: I'm starving.
[00:37:37] Speaker A: Starving.
[00:37:38] Speaker C: Because obviously I didn't eat breakfast.
[00:37:39] Speaker B: Because you're a mom.
Okay. What's one thing you wish more moms gave themselves permission to do?
[00:37:47] Speaker C: I'm going to say, like, just take a minute for yourself. And this is how I do it. And you could tell me if I'm weird. This is a very strange.
[00:37:55] Speaker A: And you're weird.
[00:37:56] Speaker C: I'm weird. I like to. If, like, both my kids are in school or, like, I have childcare, I like to go get myself a little sushi lunch. I was saying I love a lunch special.
And I like to sit in my car and eat it.
[00:38:06] Speaker A: I kind of love sitting.
[00:38:07] Speaker C: Does this sound weird or does it
[00:38:08] Speaker B: sound like something that sounds like something that I could do? Because you know, my biggest fear in the whole entire world. World is sitting in a restaurant alone and eating.
[00:38:14] Speaker C: I love eating.
[00:38:15] Speaker A: I do.
[00:38:16] Speaker B: I can't do it.
[00:38:17] Speaker A: Especially in my car.
[00:38:17] Speaker B: I don't know what's wrong with me.
[00:38:19] Speaker C: You're gonna have to do this on my.
[00:38:21] Speaker A: Go into a restaurant by yourself.
[00:38:23] Speaker C: What about sitting at the bar? Bring a book.
[00:38:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:38:26] Speaker B: It's so funny. Like, I love to drink. I love socially drinking. Like, I don't even think I could sit at a bar by myself.
[00:38:31] Speaker C: Oh, you have to get her to do this.
This. People would watch this.
[00:38:34] Speaker A: I would have a camera.
[00:38:36] Speaker C: Yeah. No, we have to bring mom. We have to. We have to do this.
[00:38:39] Speaker B: This. I'm high.
[00:38:40] Speaker C: No, no, no. Even if you're just scrolling or just my. My biggest piece of advice is that we are consistently like, I will. I'm gonna cap this all off with how much I am obsessed with my children. We did fertility. Like, I. I have, like, earned my children. I love my.
I love my kids, like, with every fiber as I am. As we all are as moms. But, like, we are always doing for them, and we are always like, I hear you taking a deep breath. Like, when was the last time you took a deep breath?
[00:39:02] Speaker A: No, literally.
[00:39:03] Speaker C: Like, literally. Like, we are just. We are running ourselves ragged, and we live for them. But, like, I just want to. We just need to take a minute. Five minutes for yourself. I don't know. It's a funny thing that I do. Like, if I drop my kids off at my mom's, I, like, have the sushi place that I like in Wayne. I go. I get a lunch special. I sit in my car, I listen to something that I want to listen to. It's not Moana. It's literally like, it's something that I.
It's Nori Sushi in Wayne is my favorite spot.
[00:39:27] Speaker B: Shout out.
[00:39:28] Speaker C: I love that spot. It's actually from the Sopranos. I don't know if you guys are Sopranos people.
[00:39:33] Speaker A: No, I am a Sopranos person.
[00:39:34] Speaker C: He's obsessed with Nori sushi. It's the same restaurant. Yeah. He's got, like, a shrine to James Gandolfini in there.
I grew up in Wayne, and, like, that's amazing. Like, Sopranos was filmed in and around all of those areas.
[00:39:45] Speaker B: Oh, my God, that's so cool.
[00:39:47] Speaker C: But no, I am like that. I'll sit in my car, I'll listen to something that I want to listen to. It's not work related. It's not just taking a minute for yourself. And I'm like, we just need to, like, a little bit more permission, I think sometimes because we're just always working, working for our kids. We're working for ourselves. We're doing all this stuff, like, just take a minute for you.
[00:40:01] Speaker A: I agree.
[00:40:03] Speaker B: And I think everyone can really relate to that.
[00:40:06] Speaker C: And not feel guilty.
[00:40:07] Speaker B: And not feel guilty.
[00:40:08] Speaker A: That's the worst mom guilt.
[00:40:09] Speaker C: It's just like, am I having you. I'm even having a little guilt being here. I know because, like, you know, like, my husband's out. Like, my husband works full time. Like, I. I work full time too, but I just work different hours. But my husband, he's on vacation, so he's having fun with the kids.
[00:40:20] Speaker B: Just creeps in no matter what.
[00:40:21] Speaker C: But, like, he should be having fun with his children.
[00:40:22] Speaker A: Right? It never ends.
[00:40:23] Speaker C: It never ends well.
[00:40:25] Speaker A: We love you and we're so happy to have you on mama clock.
[00:40:28] Speaker B: And we're excited to maybe collab do something.
[00:40:30] Speaker C: We've got a lot of. We've got a lot of work. We have a lot of work.
[00:40:32] Speaker A: We have a new.
[00:40:33] Speaker C: I feel like I'm sweating. I thought there was, like, some kind of. Were you taking notes? Because we've got a lot of, like,
[00:40:38] Speaker A: we have a lot of work.
[00:40:39] Speaker C: We're sending her to a bar by herself. She's getting on the boat, making meatballs. We're gonna, like. There's so much to do. I'm gonna be producing.
[00:40:45] Speaker A: We have to go because we have a lot of work to do.
[00:40:47] Speaker B: We gotta go.
[00:40:48] Speaker C: So much to do. We gotta get out.
[00:40:48] Speaker A: Okay, mom, clock's clocking out.
[00:40:50] Speaker B: Bye. Clock it out.
